At Llopartec, we like to join humanitarian causes and corporate social responsibility initiatives. That’s why we are pleased to announce that we are Silver Sponsors of the Alliance for Childhood Vaccination worldwide.

This initiative, which has existed for over 15 years, is led by the” la Caixa” Foundation and Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance. It is a key effort to prevent diseases that can be life-threatening the lives of millions of children, each year in the world’s most vulnerable countries.

The Alliance for Childhood Vaccination also includes ISGlobal (Barcelona Institute for Global Health), which joined the project in 2014 as a scientific and academic partner.

Thanks to this project, more than 10 million children in 10 countries have been vaccinated up until now, providing them with the opportunity for a better future.

This number of vaccinated children represents a hopeful goal, which aims to be significantly surpassed in 2024. To this end, the ”la Caixa” Foundation and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation remain committed to quadrupling the donations received.*

Once again, the full amount of the funds will be allocated to distributing the pneumonia vaccine in Mozambique and Ethiopia, helping to prevent what remains today the leading global cause of child mortality.

With this support, Llopartec aims to contribute to building a safer and healthier future for younger generations, in line with our corporate values of social responsibility and global solidarity.

Un año más, se destinará íntegramente el importe de los fondos a distribuir la vacuna contra la neumonía tanto en Mozambique como en Etiopía, para ayudar a prevenir lo que, aún a fecha de hoy, sigue siendo la primera causa global de mortalidad infantil.

Con este apoyo, Llopartec desea contribuir a construir un futuro más seguro y saludable para las generaciones más jóvenes, en línea con nuestros valores corporativos de responsabilidad social y solidaridad global.

*La Fundació ” la Caixa” duplica cada donación, hasta 2 millones de euros, y la Fundación Bill y Melinda Gates duplica ambas donaciones, hasta 4 millones de euros.
