Sliced bread

Pan de Molde Llopartec

Sliced bread is one of the most versatile breads that exist today. Due to the pace of life of today's society, it is an increasingly in-demand product, and this has generated a great supply in both bakeries and supermarkets worldwide.

Its origin dates back to the 1920s, by the American inventor Otto Rohwedder, who designed a machine to cut and package slices of bread uniformly. In the following decades, sliced bread became popular around the world, and began to be present in everyday meals.

There are different types such as white, wholemeal, cereal or seeds, but if something characterises sliced bread it is its rectangular shape and soft and spongy texture. Chosen for its practicality and quickness when preparing it, for its daily use in sandwiches and snacks, for its consistency and texture, for not crumbling and for its durability.

At Llopartec we are specialists in bread improvers and mixes to be able to offer the best solutions, completely tailored for each of our clients.
